The opening chapters consider statistical matters such as the predictive value of tests, the use of multiple markers, multivariate analysis, and recent methodologic developments. Most of the chapters are concerned with specific site or specific tumor markers and with nonspecific markers such as acute-phase reactant proteins, fibronectin, and mucin glycoproteins. Will be more useful to clinical investigators than to clinicians. Well-documented, but the index may be skimpy.
