To the Editors: Our book, The Cardiac Conduction System in Unexplained Sudden Death, was recently reviewed in Annals (1). Our book's aim, as noted in the preface, was to give our experience with the histologic findings of the conduction system in unexplained sudden death in young, healthy persons. Further, we hoped to stimulate the development of new technologies to identify these lesions in the living and to shed light on the mechanisms of sudden death in young, healthy persons. The reviewers appear to have missed this message.
