The opening chapters consider statistical matters such as predictive value of tests, use of multiple markers, multivariate analysis and recent methodologic developments. Most of the chapters are concerned with specific-site or specific tumor markers and with nonspecific markers such as acute-phase reactant proteins, fibronectin, and mucin glycoproteins. Will be useful more to clinical investigators than to clinicians. Well documented, but the index may be skimpy.
