Books on electrocardiography are usually either simple introductions or comprehensive reference texts. This one is both. It is clearly written, systematic, and accessible to the beginner but is comprehensive and includes many advanced topics. Suggestions are given to the reader who wants rapid access to the most critical information.
The beginning student will appreciate the frequent, simple, boldly colored illustrations and the detailed description of criteria for and variations of the normal electrocardiogram (ECG). Criteria for specific abnormalities are highlighted. ECG strips, many of which appear to be drawn by hand, are plentiful and exceptionally clear. Sections on exercise testing
